Somehow, I missed the arrival of Field of Glory, the ancient & medieval war game by Osprey Publishing, despite having reported its imminent release.
I discovered it quite by accident on a shelf at work, and although it is too early to write a review (having neither read nor played it yet), I will say that at first glance I am impressed by its organization, layout, illustrations, quality of binding, quality of paper, and clarity of writing. It is a handsome, well-constructed volume, but not ponderous in size or content. It seems to be an ideal manual in every way and worth the price if the rules prove their mettle. I hope to report further on the matter in the future.
