I have begun working on two pages at Fudgery.net again, namely Optimum Skills for Fudge and the corresponding Big Chart of the same. I added Cryptozoölogy, wrote a description for Brawling, and tweaked Cryptanalysis, Exobiology, Occultism, and Xenology. Next, I will be writing descriptions for all the martial arts I left blank.

What’s the idea behind the Optimum Skills? Is it a concise set of Skills that try to cover the majority of the rules?)
It’s just a universal list from which a GM can extract the skills needed for any given game, campaign, or scenario. It can also be used as a resource during Character Creation for players who prefer choosing from a list over inventing their own. I include Areas of Specialization and Areas of Further Specialization for GMs who require a narrower focus on certain skills. Mixing and matching broad and narrow skills can sometimes be a good way to emphasize a desired style of play or offer a kind of game balance.
In general, the only kinds of skills I omit from the list are those that are so narrowly focused that they have no place outside of a specific game world.
I probably ought to have mentioned that I wrote some notes about the skill list here.
